I know it's been awhile......

but when your daughter gets engaged and wants to get married less than 8 weeks later blogging was the least of my worries. She got engaged in August and was sure she didn't want a winter wedding. So we worked hard and pulled off a beautiful fall wedding on October 15th with the
reception the next evening.

I plan on doing much better now that things have settled down.
I was excited that they finally came out with some Harry Potter papers for the HP fans in my family.

August Scrapbook Retreat

The only thing better than a scrapbook retreat is being able to go twice in one summer.
My friend Sheila let us go to her cabin again. We had a wonderful time scrapping and relaxing, eating and visiting. We even did some star gazing at night.
We all got our picture taken by the outhouse (no we didn't have to use it...)

and by the swing. Thanks Lorna for letting me steal your pictures.
Sheila, Cindy and I headed down Tuesday morning and Kaleen, Lorna and Kelly made it down later in the day. They left Thursday morning and we headed back Friday around noon. We stopped at Sub Zero in Mt. Pleasant and had lunch. I'm sad the retreat season is over, but grateful for the opportunity to go twice thanks to Sheila. I'm lucky to have such wonderful friends.

Border Punches and Quickutz Edges

This layout was so fun to do and I actually made these little Quickutz dresses while I was watching the movie 27 Dresses!

I finally broke out my Quickutz edgers to make this card with the Peacock Lane line from BoBunny.

Rock on!

I used the guitar from the Quickutz Rock star paper doll and cut it out of chipboard and glossy black, cardstock as well as white, brown and tan. Then I added some paint and pen lines for the details.

Feelin' Krafty

Ok, ok I'll start a crafty blog

Here are just two of the 28 pages I got done at our scrappy retreat in June. I just love getting away from routine and scrapping my heart out with good friends.
